All about Holafly Plans
Ok, so what are Holafly Plans, and how do they differ from a normal Holafly eSIM? For a shorter trip, you’d get unlimited data for a set number of days in one country or region.
But with the new introduction of “Plans” you get unlimited data everywhere for a set price every month. It just streamlines the whole thing so you don’t have to mess around with new uploads for new destinations.

Standout Holafly Plans features
- Global coverage. One eSIM download will give you data in 170+ countries.
- No annual commitment. The plans are month-to-month, like a Netflix subscription.
- Unlimited data. There are also 10GB and 25GB-per-month options.
- Hotspot to multiple devices. Even with the unlimited data plans! So you never have to worry about whether that cafe or hotel Wi-Fi will be strong enough.
- No roaming fees. Phone companies always paint these like affordable options, but they’re simply not lol.
- Affordable price. The new release special launch price is $65 (about $2/day) for unlimited data every month. And then you can get another 10% off for the first 12 months with my discount code.

Why Holafly Plans is an exciting update
One of the pricier eSIM options has just become a lot more affordable with the rollout of Holafly Plans. While unlimited data is an option (and a mega highlight if you ask me), you don’t have to choose it if you don’t need it. So the 10GB and 25GB options even cheaper. Holafly is one of — if not the — most reliable eSIM I’ve used.
The automatic monthly billing means no more topping up manually, and the fixed price makes trip budgeting simpler. Global coverage with one eSIM is also so chill and convenient.
When I say “global coverage,” keep in mind eSIMs work by connecting to the local network. So you won’t have service in every corner of the world. But you should be able to access the local data network as if you lived there and had a local SIM. You will have service in most areas, especially big cities, but it’s never a guaranteed in rural areas.

Holafly Plans pricing
10 GB Holafly Plans: $39.90 per month
25 GB Holafly Plans: $49.90 per month
Unlimited Data Holafly Plans: $64.90 per month
Here’s how these plans breakdown compared to Holafly’s typical cost structure. Their eSIM costs vary a bit by destination, but this is the most standard pricing.
Holafly unlimited data 1 day: $6.90
Holafly unlimited data 7 days: $29.90
Holafly unlimited data 30 days: $74.90
And here’s how they compare to other unlimited data eSIM plans with a couple of different providers. (Not all providers offer unlimited data.)
ETravelSim UK unlimited (Pro): $119.99
Jetpac Global Europe unlimited 10 days: $44.99 (no 30-day option)
So by comparison, Holafly Plans is the cheapest option. And you don’t have to sign up for several months — just give the first month a go and you can always extend!
*All prices are in USD for easy global comparison.

Who should use Holafly Plans?
These monthly contracts don’t make sense for everyone. But they may come in handy if you fall into one of these categories.
Digital nomads
If you’re a digital nomad — or traveling and working remotely and want to call it something else — Holafly Plans is literally made for YOU.
Zoom calls, file uploads, online research — reliable internet is non-negotiable with this lifestyle. Every Airbnb and hotel you’ve ever stayed in has promised strong internet connection, and maybe like 80% have delivered. So the ability to hotspot unlimited data to multiple devices is a dream come true.
Country hoppers
The classic 3-month South East Asia trip comes to mind — where you’re bouncing between several countries with no real plans locked in. (All roads lead to Bangkok.)
Or maybe you just got a Eurail Pass and you’re determined to see as much of Europe as possible this summer. Unlimited data everywhere you go makes the bouncing around even easier.

People who chew through data
If you’re like meeee, you’re addicted to Instagram, can’t work without a bit of Spotify on, and get instantly lost if you don’t have Google Maps open. If that’s the case, you’ll benefit from unlimited data. Holafly Plans is perfect because you’ll have access to unlimited data and can hotspot to other devices. Friends will thank you for a quick hotspot connection if they forgot to download an eSIM before the trip!
If you don’t use a ton of data, you can find lower-cost eSIMs with fewer gigabytes. Check out Saily (consistently affordable), ETravelSim (often includes a local number), and Jetpac (with perks like free lounge access).
Long-term travelers
If you’re on a multi-month adventure going wherever the wind takes you, an unlimited data global eSIM is huge news. The global connection in 170+ countries means you can use as much data as you want no matter where you go.
International/year-abroad students
If you’re studying abroad for a few months and want to go on some side quests to other countries: Holafly Plans. A flexible monthly plan is ideal, especially if you don’t want to get a local SIM or lock in a long-term contract.
Solo travelers
The only real reason I say this is because it’s important to stay connected when you’re traveling alone. You need to be able to navigate, contact someone in an emergency, and regularly remind your mom that you’re fine.
It’s sooo nice to get to the airport and know your phone is going to work, so the fact that this monthly plan works globally cuts out an annoying and vulnerable stage of the arriving-in-a-new-country process.
When Holafly Plans isn't a good fit
This isn’t for you if you’re going on a short trip — for anything under 30 days you probably shouldn’t even consider it. Go with one of Holafly’s per-day unlimited plans or look at providers with set data packages and lower prices.
If you need a local phone number for calling, data won’t cut it. In that case, you’re better off getting a local SIM or trying ETravelSim. They offer local numbers with plans in several countries. Like most of Western Europe, The U.S., Thailand, and more. However, a lot of companies now just use WhatsApp which will work if you have data.

Get a 5% discount on regular Holafly eSIMs (perfect for short trips)
You could use Holafly Plans on a year-long Working Holiday Visa. However, depending on where you go, it may not be the most cost-effective thing to do. Let’s look at New Zealand as an example.
If you’re searching for a job, you’ll need to put a local phone number on your CV, and it’s just nice to be able to make local calls. When you’re at home or at work with consistent, reliable Wi-Fi, unlimited data isn’t as necessary.
I pay about $25 per month for my phone with a provider called Skinny and $25 for home Wi-Fi. So $50 USD per month and it comes with local calling and texting.
Signing up for Holafly Plans makes the most sense if you’re on the move.
