When to visit Indonesia
There are only two seasons in Indonesia — wet and dry. May to September is the dry season and the best time to visit. I went in August and had maybe one or two days of rain over three weeks. Yes, the waterfalls are more epic in the rainy season, but the ocean is more choppy, making the boat trips more dangerous. The dry season is also peak tourist season, so expect crowds. (Not like you can avoid crowds anywhere in Bali these days though.)
